We offer to walk with and provide resources for our Episcopal parishes as they strengthen their commitment to environmental sustainability. In keeping with the Creation Care vision of The Episcopal Church, we develop and distribute formational resources and engagement opportunities for the Episcopal churches of Rhode Island that desire to deepen right living with the Earth. We seek to do this by:
- Providing resources for the engagement of environmental awareness (see below)
- Sharing educational opportunities on climate change
- Providing creation care liturgical worship resources
- Informing churches about creation care actions in the local community
- Encouraging just and sustainable practices at both parish and community levels
- Engaging in local, state, and federal advocacy for systemic change
- Walking with parishes who want to engage in the “Path,” a guided initiative for Province 1 church communities, which focuses on four strategies:
- Prayer
- Learning
- Action
- Advocacy
